NMBA will once again represent members at the annual Mountains and Plains Independent Booksellers Show in Denver, taking place September 30 to October 2. And we’ll be sharing prime position with the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA). Richard Polese, our Senior Advisor, who will oversee our setup at the Renaissance Denver Hotel says, “This show lets us display members’ books to bookstore buyers during the largest and best book trade event in the region.” Wholesalers, distributors, sales reps and publishers and printers, as well as other trade professionals also attend the show. NMBA is compiling a catalog of participating members’ books.

To participate, make your reservation now. Call Valerie Stasik at (505) 660–6357 or email admin@nmbook.org.

Provide 50 copies of a sell-sheet for binding in our catalog—an 8.5x11-inch paper with an eye-catching design that contains the following information:
• an image of the book cover(s)
• title
• author
• publisher
• ISBN
• binding (soft/hard)
• page count
• price(s)
• ordering info
• brief author bio
The sheet may be printed on one or both sides. Please do NOT use paper heavier than 24#. Your title and book cover will grab attention better on white rather than colored paper or card stock.

Submit up to two titles for $50. You may add additional titles for $20 each. Make check payable to New Mexico Book Association.

Include one copy of each book.

Deliver the package—check, sell-sheets and book(s)—to the NMBA office at 805 Early Street, Bldg. C, Suite 205 in Santa Fe. Or mail to P.O. Box 1285, Santa Fe, NM 87504.
If you need help designing a sell-sheet, contact Mary Neighbour at lifelines@cnsp.com or Cindy Bellinger at bellinger.cindy@gmail.com.
NMBA authors and publishers who plan to attend (and we encourage you!) will need to have a show badge. Please contact Richard Polese (richard@oceantree.com) or Valerie (admin@nmbook.org) by Sept. 16 to let us know if you might attend.
Again NMBA Deadline is Friday, September 16!
