Poet Luci Tapahonso woll Speak at San Juan College Farmington, New Mexico, on October 4

Poetry Reading and Booksigning – Luci Tapahonso

Writer Luci Tapahonso grew up on a New Mexico farm in a family of Navajo ancestry, and her body of work often evokes the imagery of this part of the country. Her works include Seasonal Woman (poems); A Breeze Swept Through (poems); Sáanii Dahataal: The Women Are Singing (poems and stories); Blue Horses Rush In: Poems and Stories, and Songs of Shiprock Fair, a children’s book illustrated by Anthony Chee Emerson.

Luci has appeared on many NPR, PBS, CBS, and ABC programs. Her work has been included in theater productions, and she is renowned for her poetry readings. She began to write poetry at the age or eight or nine. Luci is the mother of five children.
