Gotsch Takes Second Place for Radio Program at National Federation of Press Women

The National Federation of Press Women announced the winners in its 2007 Communications Contest Sept. 22 in Richmond, Virginia, at its annual conference.

Broadcaster and author Connie Gotsch received a second place in the Category Radio Special Programming for her documentary ‘Miracle in the Desert: The Story of the Santa Fe Opera.’ She wrote the hour-long work to celebrate the SFO’s 50th Anniversary, for KSJE FM, a public radio station in Farmington, New Mexico.

In addition, Gotsch was recognized as the New Mexico Press Woman Communicator of Achievement.

When she’s not attending meetings, Gotsch hosts the book program ‘Write On Four Corners’ and the classical music show ‘Roving with the Arts’ for KSJE.

She has written two novels A Mouth Full of Shell, and Snap Me a Future. Both are published by dlsijpress.com. Both have won National Federation of Press Women and New Mexico Press Women Communication Contest Awards.
