The grant supports five Hispanic author/scholars who will participate in the Fiesta. In addition, the Chama Library will receive a $500 donation of new books from the New Mexico Book Co-op. The books will be Hispanic New Mexico theme books and books written by the five authors for the public’s use.

The authors are: Charlie Carrillo, Nasario Garcia, Demetria Martinez, Robert Torrez, and Ana Baca.

The Chama Book Fiesta will take place on May 29, 30, and 31 at the Chama Library, Cookin’ Books, and the Elkhorn Lodge.
