Local IQ Runs Rave Review
Local IQ Magazine ran a great review of THE WORLD COMES TO ALBUQUERQUE in the June 30 issue. Here is what they said:
"This is the big book that New Mexico ballooning fans have eagerly awaited. The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, and this official book recounts how it all happened in chapters like “Early Balloon Heritage,” “First Ladies of New Mexico Ballooning,” and “The Balloon Fiesta That Almost Wasn’t.” The photography, with shots from 37 excellent photographers, is spectacular and really captures the flavor of the sport in Albuquerque. There are no shots of balloons entangled in power lines or in flames, so this is obviously a coffee-table book and not an exposé. I loved the tale of Albuquerque’s first balloon launch on July 4, 1882, that attracted a crowd nearly the size of the entire city (population about 6,000). Since that time, people from 49 of the world’s 196 nations have ballooned in Albuquerque—a remarkable record in a noteworthy book that’s a “B+,” and would make a great Christmas gift for out-of-town friends."
Thanks for your support!!!!
Plus, they ran a nice notice of the upcoming book signing event at Bookworks (4022 Rio Grande Blvd NW, Albuquerque) on Saturday July 9 (3-4pm)
You'll notice we have some nice give-aways for all who attend and buy a copy! Hope to see you there!
