Rio Grande Books wins Big at New Mexico Book Awards

Rio Grande Books Takes Top Honors


Rio Grande Books of Los Ranchos, New Mexico, took top honors in the 2009 New Mexico Book Awards.
The Whole Damned World: New Mexico Aggies at War 1941-1945 by Martha Shipman Andrews was tapped as the Best New Mexico Book as well as the Best History Book.


Visions Underground: Carlsbad Caverns Through the Artist's Eye by Lois Manno was selected as the Best Book in the entire 2009 New Mexico Book Awards, as well as the Best Arts Book.


Four other books were selected as winners in their respective categories:
Sacred Feminine by Judith McLaughlin -- Best Religion Book
Senator Pete Domenici's Legacy by Jon Hunner -- Best Anthology
Three Dog Night by Cheryl Montoya with illustrations by Jerry Montoya -- Best Other Fiction
A Century of Masters by Nicolasa Chavez -- Best Multicultural Book
