The new official Balloon Fiesta book -- "The World Comes to Albuquerque" -- will be featured at a booksigning on Saturday, July 9 starting at 3pm at Bookworks Bookstore located at 4022 Rio Grande Blvd NW, Albuquerque. The authors/editors will be there to talk about the book as well as some of the "back stories" about Balloon Fiesta.
Ballooning Magazine has a great review of the new book in its upcoming issue. They say, "In simple terms, this is the most beautiful, and the most detailed history of Balloon Fiesta ever and no collection of LTA (lighter than air) literature will be complete without a copy. Read it and you too will know 'the rest of the story.'"
The book has also just received its first award -- it received the 2011 Caliente Award from ReadingNewMexico. They noted this book was a "must read!"
