Vote and Help LPD Prwss Get a Grant

One Nation One Year Vote & Help Us Win A Grant from Pepsi

Pepsi Refresh
Help! We don’t ask often but we need your help now and it won’t cost you any money and a minute of your time in April.
We have applied to Pepsi Refresh (www.refresheverything.com/) for a grant of $5,000 for the One Nation One Year Project. It is a coffee table book that is funded and printing as we speak and an exhibit at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center in Albuquerque in June. The $5,000 would fund mounting, signage, and if any money is left some advertising. One Nation One Year is the photographic essay of the Navajo Nation and Albuquerque The Magazine photographer – Don James, who is Navajo, was embedded in the Navajo Nation and took thousands of photos. He had special access and the photos are great!
But Pepsi only gives money to the top internet vote getters for April. We think we can do it. We want you and everyone in your email list to vote on One Nation One Year for the entire month of April. It takes one minute to log on and then everyday it will take seconds to vote.
Unfortunately, I will remind you once in a while in April but that won’t be so bad. Also people involved with an organization might want to check out the process and do it themselves. We will reciprocate!
Go to Pepsi Refresh (www.refresheverything.com/), log in, then go to Arts/Culture for $5,000. Look for ONE NATION ONE YEAR: A NAVAJO PHOTOGRAPHER ON THE NAVAJO NATION. If you have any questions we are happy to answer. Put a note on your computer NOW to vote every day during April for One Nation! Please pass this message along to everyone on your email address book.
Thanks! Barbe Awalt, Paul Rhetts, Larryl Lynch of Albuquerque The Magazine, and Don James the photographer – we can’t do this without you! This is no April Fool joke!
