New mexico Book CoOp news

April Book Co-op Lunch
The New Mexico Book Co-op lunch on Friday, April 23 will feature a Publisher’s Panel; as usual we will meet at Golden Corral on the Westside at 3401 NM HWY 528; just west of Coors Blvd. and Alameda. In addition to Paul Rhetts and Barbe Awalt from LPD Press/Rio Grande Books, Geoff Habinger of Artemesia Publishing, Zelda Gatuskin of Amador Press, and Hank Bruce of Petal & Pages will talk about problems they have encountered, pluses as a publisher, and interesting tips of the book trade. It is time to pick local book publisher’s brains. The panel is made up of publishers from many different genres of books. Sabra Brown Steinsiek of Reading New Mexico will also give an account of the New Mexico Library Association Convention in Ruidoso. Meeting starts at noon (many arrive early to eat before the meeting begins). Everyone is welcome and attendees pay for their own lunch. If this works it may be a way to help underwrite the cost of books here in New Mexico if you have a project that fits the Pepsi Refresh criteria. Thank you to everyone who has been voting.
