NEW MEXICO BOOK AWARDS BANQUET TICKETS GOING FAST!!!!
Come be a part of the biggest gala for NM books in 2008! The finalists in the 2008 NM Book Awards were announced last month and banquet tickets have been going very fast. There are some left if you have not reserved yet but if you want to attend you should make reservations very soon before all the seats are gone!. The winners will be announced at the Banquet on November 21. Cost is $46 per person. RSVP 505-344-9382. CO-OP HOLIDAY PARTY WILL BE AT LIN’S BUFFET DECEMBER 5
The NM Book Co-op holiday party will be at Lin’s Buffet on Friday, December 5 starting at 11:30am, 10100 Coors Road (about 1.3 miles north of Hometown Buffet on the opposite side of Coors). Come and enjoy the kick-off for the holiday season with local authors and publishers. When you pay tell them that you are in the private party! Lunch is $9.48 (includes tax and drink; please add about $1.50 for a tip!!!!). No speaker -- just a good time! You must RSVP (344-9382) that you are coming so we get the right size room!

BOOK ASSOCIATION HOLIDAY PARTY WILL BE AT THE LODGE AT SANTA FE DECEMBER 5
The annual New Mexico Book Association !Holiday Fiesta! social gathering is also on Friday, December 5 at The Lodge at Santa Fe from 5:30 to 7:30pm The Lodge is up St. Francis Drive, above the cemeteries and view of the mountains. Finger food (more than last year), including salmon, buffalo wings, fruits, cheese and veggies, cider, and sangria! Cost just $12 for everyone. Reservations not necessary. We'll present three awards in recognition of people who've accomplished much to get the word out about New Mexico-produced books.

INVITE YOUR FRIENDS AND CUSTOMERS TO COME AND BUY LOCAL BOOKS AT ZIA ARTS & CRAFTS SHOW
The NM Book Co-op Book Booth at the Zia Art & Crafts Show at the State Fairgrounds in Albuquerque, November 21- 23 will have over 100 local books on display and for sale. Please let your friends and customers know that the event is featuring local books. The show, at the Manuel Lujan Building at the NM Expo Fairgrounds in Albuquerque, will be Friday 10am to 5pm, Saturday 10am to 6pm and Sunday 10am to 5pm. Admission to the show is $5.00.
