I'm not a mystery fan, but I couldn't put Ellen Larson's "New Jersey mystery books" down, and her "Measure of the Universe" is a great read about a future time when people have forgotten how they used to communicate with written text - very timely! Thomas Hubschman's "Look At Me Now," actually succeeds as a feminist novel written by a man but in a woman's voice. Gowanus Books has two exciting anthologies of writing by people from all over the developing world - voices rarely read in the US. Take a look and see the good company that "Land Beyond Maps" is in!
