>> Tony Hillerman created vivid fictional characters and an authentic vision of Navajoland that will endure, enchant and entertain readers for generations to come. With Tony’s passing in October comes a sense of great loss, as well as deep appreciation for his lasting gifts to superb fiction and literary endeavors throughout New Mexico. NMBA expresses our collective sincere condolences to Tony’s wife and family. Tony Hillerman was, and is, one of our own.
