BOOK AWARDS
A couple of people seem to be a little confused. Entry in the Reading New Mexico Review Website is not connected with the Coop New Mexico Book Awards. They are separate so if you want to enter the book awards you need to do that separately from submitting books for possible review on READING NEW MEXICO.
BIG POETRY EVENT — WORDSTOCK II
There’s a big poetry event in the planning stages to be held in Albuquerque this September, starting Friday the 12th and ending on Sunday evening, the 15th. New Mexico Literary Arts (NMLA) is organizing the Wordstock II (small press showcase and trade show) aspect of it. Wordstock II will be held at the Harwood Museum all day Saturday (10-4ish). It will be very well attended, with lots of opportunity for writers, poets, and small presses to get the word out about their publications and make some sales. The emphasis of the festival is on poets and poetry, so those are the writers that should be encouraged to have their work represented. The tables are $20.00. If you are interested in a table, or know writers/poets that you think might be,Michelle Holland and she will send you a more formal invitation to register for a table, and more details about time and place and contact people.
