“Writing from the Inside Out: A Way of Knowing”
This is a highly interactive, hands-on, sharing-filled workshop for writers who want to use imaginative and creative techniques to stimulate, focus, and develop their writing. Connect what you know with what you feel; confront writers' block; and create a collaborative environment to deepen your writing. Suitable for writers of all levels of experience writing fiction, memoir, and nonfiction, this workshop is led by Nancy King, PhD, author of seven books of nonfiction, three books of fiction, many articles, and eleven plays.
Time: 10 -12 am; 1 - 3 pm

How can an editor make your work more publishable? How can an editor improve a self-published work? How can an author and an editor work most effectively together? Hear three editors discuss the relationship between authors and editors. Bring your questions and let's talk about this critical part of the publishing process. The three editors on the panel come with a wide variety of experience: Cindy Bellinger, Cinny Green, and Suzan Hall.
Time: 6:30 - 8:00pm

Attention all publishers, book designers and producers, editors, and authors: your entries may now be submitted until March 19, 2010 to be considered for the Southwest Book Design & Production Awards for Excellence!
