The guidelines are simple:
1. The book must be a New Mexican author or,
2. The book must be published by a New Mexican publisher or,
3. The majority of the book must take place in New Mexico and,
4. The book can be written and published at any time.

Past winners of the People’s Choice Award were Bless Me Ultima & Milagro Beanfield War and are not eligible.
Thanks for your help and stay tuned for the 2009 New Mexico Book Awards Winners.
