Andraeas Armijo Talk

Andreas Armijo will be on KSHE FM's Write On Four Corners in March of 2011 The New Mexico Genealogical Society presents:
Andrés Armijo

Becoming a Part of My History: Through Images & Stories of My Ancestors

Saturday, July, 16 2011 at 10:30 AM
Albuquerque Main Library, 2nd Floor
501 Copper NW, Albuquerque New Mexico (505-768-5131)

Andrés Armijo presents on his first, recent publication "Becoming a Part of My History: Through Images & Stories of My Ancestors" - People's Photography and Family Research at its Best.

This project stems out of years of genealogical research, oral history interviews and the recovery of family images and artifacts. Vernacular photography, or "people's phototgraphy," enlightens a family's past, while oral histories also illuminate photographs. Both aspects of family research are in potential danger of being lost, and it is through this recovery project that Andrés Armijo shares insights, guidance, stories and oral histories about his family for all ranges of audiences. In this presentation, Armijo will share excerpts from select chapters of the book, and the photographs (and moving pictures, or home movies as we know them) that accompany them. Interaction, discussion and questions in this multi-media presentation are encouraged.

Note from Carolyn

Dear Subscribers:

This is a special edition of Sharing with Writers. As you probably know by now, I wrote a new book on tweeting, Frugal and Focused Tweeting for
Retailers: Tweaking your Tweets and Other Tips for Integrating Your Social Media. Now I’m putting it to work with an amazing expert in the publishing field, Patricia Norins, publisher of Gift Shop Magazine and her new newsletter eProfits.

We’re presenting tweeting in a way that makes it easy for us to help you make it easy to turn Twitter into a tool that networks for you and, yes, even sells your books. It’s like a Power Point presentation on your computer screen accompanied by a casual telephone chat!

And besides that, Patricia has offered a Starving Writer Discount to my subscribers and only to my subscribers. So, see below for details or just go straight to www.retailconferenceseries.com and sign up. Use the code starvingwriter to receive the $79. Webinar for $40. And know that you will also receive a copy of Frugal and Focused Tweeting courtesy of eProfits newsletter, an extra benefit that comes from taking good care of the social media campaign for your book. And for being with us.

Remember my new mantra. “Marketing is marketing is marketing. Tweeting it tweeting!” So what is good for the sellers of any product is good for the sellers of books! That’s you!

Happy Writing, Promoting and Editing in 2010 Carolyn Howard - Johnson
